Throughout its undefeated season start, Irvine Valley had been led in kills by Chelsea Pavlik alone. Until Wednesday.

Tied with Pavlik's 17 kills, freshman outside hitter Marilena Guadagnini found herself at the top of the kill leader board.

IVC went on to defeat Santa Ana College, 3-0. The Lasers followed the sweep up with a 3-1 victory at Golden West College to advance to 16-0.
