The charity stripe has been very generous to the Gauchos, especially thanks to the contribution of Cassie Klockgether.

The sophomore from Montgomery High School stepped to the line in back-to-back games last week to take ties out of overtime range.

After pulling down her sixth rebound with 3.3 seconds remaining in Wednesday's game against Irvine Valley College, Klockgether capitalized on the duo of technical fouls called on the Gauchos' visitors to seal the victory. They won, 63-57.
Klockgether finished with a game-high 23 points.

Two days later, the guard again stepped to the charity stripe with a game-sealing perfect performance. With the clinching free throws, Saddleback defeated Fullerton College 55-53 to improve its record to 15-12 (5-3).

Klockgether finished with a team-high 11 points and three rebounds.
