Playoff time is the moment when the leaders of the team need to step up their games.
This statement holds true for Saddleback's Rekeshia Jones.
The 5'11'' sophomore from El Camino high school had 28 points in last Saturday's first-round, home playoff victory against Canyons. She was 80 percent from the field as well hitting four of seven free throws.
She also made her presence known on the boards, snagging 18 rebounds, including 11 on the offensive side of the ball. She also had three blocked shots and three steals.
The Gauchos will now visit the Ventura Pirates in the second round of the playoffs March 8th at 5:30 PM.
