Irvine Valley's men's soccer team finished its season on the field of Mt. San Antonio College (21-0-2) on Saturday. The road for the 15-5-4 Lasers ended in the Southern California Regional Finals, the same place the season closed one year earlier.

Led by Jack Plummer, Ashley Cattermole, Erik Van Der Meulen and Corey Cordray, the Lasers sailed to the end of their season on a 10-game unbeaten streak. Their last loss was Oct. 12 in a 3-1 defeat by Santa Ana College.

Goalkeeper Mikhail Radchuk finished with 10 shutouts on the season, the last of which advanced IVC to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory over East LA.

Earlier in the season, IVC had a seven-game unbeaten streak snapped by conference rival Santiago Canyon on Oct. 5.

In the last two seasons, the Lasers posted a record of 29-9-8, won three playoff games and reached the regional finals twice.
