The IVC women's soccer team broke its 20-game losing streak beating Orange Coast College, 2-1, on Tuesday Sept. 25.

The last time the Lasers won was Sept. 19, 2006 when they beat Golden West College, 3-1.

The first half was dominated by the Lazers who struck fast with freshman Diana Suarez scoring in the 9th and 13th minute. The Lazers continued to press the action, out-shooting the pirates, 6-4.

The second half was offensively dominated by the pirates, but the lazers' defense stood their ground and did not let this win slip through the cracks. Goal keeper Guadalupe Jimenez saved seven shots the entire game, only letting one goal slip by.

Although being out-shot, 9-1, in the second half, the Lazers were able to keep the score in their favor.

The Lazers play Friday Oct. 5th at Riverside at 3 p.m.
