Irvine Valley's men's soccer recorded its fourth-straight victory with a commanding 3-0 shutout in a non-conference game against Glendale College on Friday in Irvine.

The victory on Friday against the Vaqueros and another on Thursday, where they topped Rio Hondo 2-1, moved the Lasers to 5-2 on the season.

IVC came out strong, scoring 1-0 early in the game when Mark Shadrack passed off the ball and left it up to skilled shooting by freshman forward Bruno Sad.

They went into halftime ahead 2-0 with a powerful shot from midfielder Ashley Cattermole late in the half, which was his first of two.

Cattermole, who was brought on to the field as a reserve, received a deep throw by freshman Miguel Banos and rocketed the ball passed the Vaquero's goalkeeper for his second score of the game.

The Lasers' defense was dominating, limiting the shots taken by Glendale to just four. Freshman goalkeeper, Mikhail Radchuk, didn't allow anything to get by, securing the shutout.

IVC opens up Orange Empire Conference play Tuesday at Riverside. The game starts at 3 p.m.
