Irvine Valley's women's soccer's Kacie Bigos did something that no other Laser had been able to do in over 11 months- score a goal.

The freshman midfielder from El Toro broke Irvine's scoring drought 15 days shy of one year when her team visited Miramar Sept. 4. IVC still took a loss Tuesday afternoon, as, for the Lasers' one goal, Miramar had three.

The last time the Lasers scored a goal was Sept. 19, 2006 in what was also their last win. The 2006 Lasers took a 3-1 victory over Golden West.

IVC will look to the net again Tuesday, Sept. 11 when it opens conference play against visiting Santiago Canyon at 3 p.m.
