After the Saddleback College football team's rousing 42-38 comeback victory over Santa Ana on Saturday (Oct. 3), the Gauchos dropped one spot to No. 7 in JCGridiron.com's "Dirty 30" national rankings.

After 31 unanswered points by the Dons, Saddleback overcame a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter for the win. Two big plays, a 70-yard touchdown run by quarterback David Ingram and a 70-yard hook-and-ladder by Aziz Spellman-Smith, sparked the victory.

The Gauchos face No. 21 Palomar in Saddleback's Homecoming game this Saturday (Oct. 10).

Saddleback currently has two more ranked opponents, No. 19 Fullerton and No. 14 Grossmont, and one previously ranked team, Orange Coast College, on the schedule after Santa Ana. All games are Southern Conference contests.
